Age: 18
Background: Julius was born into a well off family who already had one son, five year old Avalon. He was looked after them well, and he and his brother were extremely close. He went to school where he immediately began to learn the to play the violin after seeing an orchestra playing them on television. He was given a beautiful mahogany violin for his eighth birthday. Unfortunately, the happiness did not last. When he was ten and his brother was eighteen, their parents walked out of the house and never returned. Their bodies were never found but a man was convicted of their murder. Avalon had locked his brother away the moment they had disappeared, afraid that he would disappear as well, and told the police that he had disappeared alongside his mother and father.
Being now eighteen, Avalon was allowed to live in the house passed to him by his parents. No one never saw Julius, and Avalon kept him in his room, gradually treating him worse and worse until he was ordering him to do things and punishing anything done with free will by beating him. He had some misguided sense that he was stopping the other from ever leaving or being in the situation where he might get hurt by someone else, but was also taking his anger about his parents death out on him, as he was the only one close to him on a regular basis, and Julius went along with this, completely loyal to his brother and doing anything he was told, accepting beatings because it was the only time he ever saw his brother smile, so he thought it must be making him happy and that one day he might do well enough that the other would love him again.
It was because of this that he began to develop Dependant Personality disorder, and also began to develop a phobia of speaking out loud, because Avalon told him he had a horrible voice and punished him whenever he did. Avalon hated his voice because Julius spoke and had an accent very similar to his mother, and it reminded him of her. Whenever Avalon did require him to speak, he did so with a notebook and pencil. He was kept in one room in the house with a boarded up window and few items of furniture, was not allowed to interact with other people, or with the outside world, meaning he became very sheltered and understood very little about what went on outside of that room aside from what he had learned before being locked away. He was eighteen when he was finally discovered, and his brother was taken away, leaving him with nowhere else to go but Cherry Hollow.
